Dnkydog
Was out the other day with my old man scouting and came upon 4 or 5 fresh rubs. As we were walking away I noticed my father lightly rub one of them. Is this a big deal being that there might be human scent on a fresh rub or shouldn't I worry too much and hunt this spot come the weekend? It's a good spot but now I'm worried the bucks there will be on high alert if they're still there at all.

Geno C
I mean we can go crazy worrying about every little thing we do that will effect deer movment and patterns. I do not advise touching any kind of rub/scrape fresh or not. A lot of human scent is left behind with Our hands. Any edge we can take away from the deer the better. The odds are already in favor of the deer so don't give them any better then what they have already. I wouldn't be majorly concerned with it, not enough NOT to hunt that spot this weekend. Get in there and hunt it! You never know...
Dnkydog
I'll give it a shot and hope for rain tonight. If nothing's going I still have a few tricks up sleeve. Thanks and good luck to you guys if you're out there!
thphm
Rain is just going to multiply the scent. Not wash it away. Don't know where you are but they are talking about an inch of snow here tonight.
