oblivitar
Got to my stand and all setup by 5. Had 5 bucks right under me till about 6. I decided I was gonna use my bow this morning. Now I'm sitting at one end of a field ....7 o clock and here come another hunter walking right through the fieldand is trying to setup at the other end. I'm waving my orange hat and whistling at him. He disappeared. 7:30 now he's directly across from me trying to setup a climber. At this point I'm yelling at the guy and he never even turned around. I said to hell with this and got down and walked away. I doubt he even had permission to be there.

growalot
if your both up in trees...and you have orange on why not stay...it's the hunter you can't see that you should worry about...how far away was he?...the guys next door Ones that shot at us...use to line up right in front of me...so I put a stand close to the property line...facing my land...they still lined up behind me...really ...yards from the stand and on either side...it was fine by me.......I knew they couldn't shoot any thing on my land..I never would shoot on their uncles and the deer coming down the hill would be cautious...so they'd stop to listen smell and see...instead of running through...giving me plenty of time to aim...I was high enough to see the deer on their land skirting them and entering ours at a good distance down from where they were sitting...too funny.........after a couple of years of not bugging me...it bugged them and they stopped doing it....lol...I love being Irish..hahaha
oblivitar
75 yards across the field and where he was setting up, he would have been shooting towards me. I mean he was wondering around like an idiot looking for a spot on opening morning. Isn't that what scouting is for!
Duck_the_Dog
Had a similar situation. Up in my stand by 5:30, got in nice and quiet with no flashlight. Just before sunup, these two guys come stomping through with spotlights, wandering aimlessly looking for a spot. After about 20 minutes I thought they had moved on down the hill because I didn't see or hear them after that. Around 9 I stood up to stretch my legs, turned and looked behind my tree, and there they are, sitting on a log 50 yards behind me. The thing is, they knew where I was because I flashed my light at them for that reason. I know it's public land and you can hunt where you want, but there are 1000's of acres available within 20 minutes of this spot! Did they HAVE to be that close? sent from somewhere out there.... growalot
guys ...public or private ...you can't hide from AH...tonight ...I hear a 4 wheeler....and they are on one of the farmers fields...the one that he left a strip of standing corn 20ft x 1/2mile...they are buzzing one side of the corn trying to get the deer to move up toward them...the farmer is going to be hot when he sees the tracks!...he just reposted everything except our shared line and stacked big round bales all along the road frontage and chained his drive...this is 200ft behind my stand....They are every where...some times you just got laugh.... Waldershrek
I'm convinced 80% of the population is legitimately mentally retarded.
