So I hunted this past weekend on my property in Walton.  The conditions were ideal with cold weather and a little snow on the ground.  I hunted all day Sat and on Sun morning.  Unfortunately for me I needed to get home early yesterday.  Anyway, I didn't see a thing all weekend,  even with ideal conditions.

Move forward to today.  I get a phone call from my father that his friend hunted my stand today and at 3:30 he missed a big buck.  My neighbor had been seeing a big 10 on my land all summer and fall so I'm going to assume this the buck he missed.

Where the heck was this buck this past weekend?  Oh well... maybe he'll be that much bigger next year!!

Unfortunately I'm off Thu and Sat this week.  Thu I have an appointment and I'll be hunting in Bethel on Sat.  My place is a three hour ride and a bit much for a one day hunt on Sat.  The two hour ride to Bethel is much more doable, especially being that I have to be at work at 5am on Sunday.
