Cannonsville watershed land

Anyone have any experiance hunting it? Looks like some pretty rugged country with lots of huntable land. The Jonny brook area looks pretty interesting. Just looking for any info reagrding the area. May give it a shot for small game in Jan/Feb and do some scouting for next year. Already have my access permits.

Go to deposit lots of times. Not to hunt, but know people that hunt it. It is big. Deer and bears their. Good luck. Not sure of any small game their.

Maybe I'll see you there scouting next summer. I just dread bagging a whopper way back in there. Maybe we could stash a wheel barrow or a deer cart somewhere for that and agree to return it to an established spot.

thats one of my questions - is there whoppers back there! ??! And not just the Jonny Brook area, but any/all of the Cannonsville watershed land....  Are there big bucks? What are the deer numbers? I never hear any reports or see any pics from anthing in this area. I'd like to search out some nice rack buck...  but i would also like to see deer to keep me interested. or even bear!

There are some good bucks in there.  Just have to do your homework and get in deep.  Bear population is real good too.

Stop in the DEP headquarters on RT. 10 in Walton and speak to the guys in there about the area.  They're very helpful.
