Cuomo says "conservative Republicans … have no place in the state of New York..."

Recommended Posts

How do we inform all gun owners on the importance of what is at stake here? That is the question!  Most have given up and don't realize they can make a difference by voting. How will the very small number of NY'ers who are informed, and ready to take Cuomo and his anti gun agenda on, get organized to get the word out to the millions of apathetic gun owners and hunters and light a fire in them so we can be heard and turn this around?

First we need to get a fire lit under ourselves

we form small groups across the state and go door to door.  WE have ot do it, not talk about it.  Letters to the editor are free and get to a lot of people.  We need ot assist people to register to vote and make sure they vote. social  media  also works to a point.  Call your board of elections get a list of registered voters as well as their voting history.  Then make contact with them and get them to help you start up a group to get this going.  At public events set up a booth print out what this law does and hand them out.  Get well educated so you can answer questions.  It will require a lot of work.  My group built a float and entered in parades all over our area last summer and intend to again this summer.  We handed out pamphlets regarding the safe act as well as pocket constitutions and a business card with our web address and face book page on them as well as we had voter registration forms we helped people fill out and took for them to hand in.  By us taking the form, we were able to get t heir contact info and call them before the election to ask if they planned to go vote and offer th em support to do so. We went to our local senior housing complexes and asked people if they were registered and of they were interested in absentee ballots  We got them the paperwork to fill out helped them do it turned it in an dgot them their absentee ballots and turned them back in also. I got requests after each parade to join the group as well how they can help.  My group in NNY is approaching 500 members in hicks ville.  Once someone starts a group, I can add you to state wide pages and emails that connect all state groups that want to participate.  I am not saying this is the ultimate answer, I am saying this is a start. Others have awesome ideas also.  But someone needs to step up and take the first step. It takes time and money and effort.  We have traveled to albany and lobbied representatives.  I just gave anyone interested a snow ball. You can throw that snowball at Albany, or you can make that snow ball into an avalanche to bury Albany  If anyone wants more information feel free to contact me via private message.  Be prepared for a backlash.  This has cost me dearly in many aspects of my life.  Hell I mention things on here about what I have done and people call you a lier or when they do not agree throw the little daggers like dint you have a rally to go to or a parade.  But if you believe in this cause get off your butts and get at it.

In a radio interview last week, Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) made some disparaging comments about pro-life conservatives, stating they had “no place in the state of New York because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”

Those remarks drew the ire of conservative talk show host Sean Hannity, who on his Monday radio program declared he had enough and was abandoning his home state, where he hosts his widely syndicated radio show and his high-rated Fox News Channel television program.

“Now I want to tell you something – I was born and raised in New York,” Hannity said. “I want you to know that and I can’t wait to get out of here. I really can’t. I don’t want to pay their 10-percent state tax anymore. I live in the second-highest property taxed county in the entire country in Nassau County. I can’t wait to sell my house to somebody who wants it. I can’t wait to pay no state income tax down in Florida or Texas. I haven’t decided yet, but I’m leaning Florida because I like the water and I like to fish.”

Hannity has hosted a radio show in New York City since the late 1990s. In 2001, the show was syndicated and has since filled the current 3 p.m. ET to 6 p.m. ET time slot. He will be following in the footsteps of conservative radio talkers Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, who had also fled the Empire State for Florida and Texas, respectively.

“Gov. Cuomo, I’m going to leave and I’m taking all of my money with me – every single solitary penny,” he added. “And by the way governor, because I work here – there’s a whole bunch of people that work for me and benefit because I do two shows. And I guess maybe some of them will be out of work, governor. I’m sure you’ll take care of them.”
