fireeater88 Posted June 23, 2010 Share Posted June 23, 2010 ive had a couple of sightings here in sullivan county,mother with 2 cubs,a loaner by himself wieghed about 100lbs.and 1 giant male looked to be about 400lbs.he did have a tag on him.my question is,even though there tagged can you still shoot him. Southern bear have to be checked in anyway if i recall correctly. burmjohn Posted June 24, 2010 Share Posted June 24, 2010 Apparently there are bear all over by me and Fairgame in Sullivan. He took one on opening day of bow last year, and there are sightings by my neighbor all the time. The other neighbor said there is a bunch back in the swap in the corner of my property, apparently they frequent there and or live there. builtright716 Posted June 28, 2010 Share Posted June 28, 2010 I live in Niagara County, in Newfane. We are having bear sightings here now. We have also had reports of cougars as well.
