Insurance

Good afternoon,

I have 40 acres of vacant land in Greene county that is owned by an LLC (I am the principle owner). I have insurance, as a safe guard if some one gets hurt while hunting (with or without my permission). State Farm is getting very expensive so does anyone have an insurance company they know would provide a policy?

I've had good experiences with State Farm. What are you calling expensive first of all? Is it just liability insurance?

I don't exactly know how it works, but when I was a member of a club, they required all members to have a Buckmasters membership.  That provided the insurance needed for hunting the property.  BTW, each member paid his own Buckmasters membership.  Maybe you should give them a call and ask about it.

Maybe check with local insurance companies rather than the big name ones?  My homeowners insurance rate is about 40% less with a local company than it would have been with Nationwide.

Thanks for the responses. It is actually a business (because of the LLC) liability insurance policy for 1200.00 per year. I feel it's excessive for vacant land. (My homeowners policy is only 2k). I will look into the buckmasters membership
