Hey guys, two part question. With the seaon coming up I'm ramping up my scounting.

As I was daydreaming about hunting at work yesterday a thought came to mind.

Is it allowed in state parks or public land to find a quiet area, off a trail, put down a block target and practice a few shots?

nothing would be greater than after exiting the woods from scounting to shoot 20 or so arrows at various yardage before driving home. Im just not sure of the legalities. any info?

second question, does anyone recommend a good quality block target that is portable?

thanks,

Vincy

Have never had a problem in Letchworth park C cabin area. We have shot many times as park police drove past. I imagine its all about safety and if you are launching arrows towards people or other cabins it may throw a flag!

Many great block targets on the market but we have never had good luck with the bags holding up.

Yea, after looking at the Rhineheart, it looks cool but think i'd prefer a block. to many variables to damage arrows with a Rhineheart. thanks

Rhinehart makes a few blocks that will last you forever.

I've used all kinds of brands and models of fused and layered foam targets and I hooked on rhineharts.  I shoot all year.
