planning on heading up there this weekend, anyone ever fish or hunt here?

 

taking the kids up to check it out and do a little hiking/fishing. read somewhere that fahnstock was pointless to hunt so I figure I would check this place out then move over to fahnstock if I have time.  anyone been nosing around there lately? wondering how it is in there

I'm looking to head to California hill once gun season opens. Saw a lot if promising spots during spring turkey and earlier in the fall when I was just out walking in the woods. Anyone been in there recently?

Public land on opening day for gun? Think this over and wait a week or so then go during weekday, Orange Army will be in full effect, unless you like "Call of Duty" shooting style :-)

Bkln wasn't planning on opening day. I just said once the season opens. Plan on heading in during the week because my days off fall on Monday and Tuesday the first week of gun season. But thanks for the heads up!
