Fibroma. They are caused by a papilloma virus. I have seen pictures of a deer that had them one year but they were gone (except scars) the next. Not life threatening unless they make it difficult for the deer to eat or see.

Oh my goodness, I Google searched fibroma in deer pics..... I encourage all to check it out.... speechless. ... but Sam u are spot on.
