b3h
At approximately 5:55pm Owego Fire and Owego Emergency Squad were dispatched to a location on W. Beecher for a male who had fallen 20 feet from a tree stand. The victim was in a wooded location and met the criteria to be flown by medical helicopter. Guthrie Air was activated and a landing zone was established at OFA soccer island. Campville Fire Department and EMS assisted. Great job by everyone involved. b3h
Heard from a reliable source the guy had broken ribs and a collapsed lung. No other details. All things considered, he’s pretty lucky so to speak.Wear those harnesses up and down. After a couple good scares with climbers, intentionally cut straps, and adjacent ash trees I personally had to buckle down.Even with all the safety equipment a short fall will slam u around quite a bitSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
