airedale
The Oaks in my neck of the woods are finally making a comeback after the Gypsy Moth devastation of a few years ago. The moth worms killed off many trees and for several years in a row the Oaks and Beech trees that survived had no mast crops of Beechnuts and Acorns. This year there has been a turn around and the tree are bearing pretty good crops. The woods had been pretty sterile of wildlife as the animals had to move on to greener pastures for food. Noticeable are the Squirrel numbers and the Turkey numbers coming back, will have to see how the Deer hunting turns out as I have not seen a whole lot of activity.
