This guy right here is.  Best time of the year right now.  Deer season and with cooperative weather Ice fishing right after!!!!

You bet.  Deer season still not over and i was running my auger today.  Pushing a little or maybe wishful thinking!

where you guys fish at? I fish mostly Whitney Point and long pond and sometime Quaker lake in PA, but my Buddy just bought a house up on Oneida Lake and says the water stays in the 8 to 15 ft range till about 50 ft from shore then it drops right off into 40 ft so it should be a good area. Neighbor says they do good on perch there.

I do most perch fishing on Cayuga Lake.  Me and a couple buddies limit out everytime in about 2hrs.  I also do some ice fishing on another small lake called Otter Lake.  Usually catch some pike, crappie, and a few walleye there.  I really would like  to go up to Onieda this winter in hopes of some nice walleye's.  We will see though.  Still got some deer season left!!!! :)

We use to have a cottage on Murry Isle. till it burned down a few yrs ago. never ice fished there though. I have had good luck in late may for perch.

I've never ice fished before but my buddy from work is taking me out to give it a try.  After seeing some of the pictures of the northern pike people take through the ice up north I'm almost wishing to remainder of deer season away sooner lol

the ice is on black lake, but they are only fishing the bays.  On the st lawrence near waddington, there were guys out there fishing in a bay on thursday am.  A little early for my larger than normal frame for sure.  I prefer a few good solid inches before I give it a try.  But it is a great way to spend a day and the fishig is usually pretty good too
