Chef
So with the snow we had up in liberty this past week I noticed something interesting...I noticed the deer were using the trails that me and my friend cut through the snow...every time we went to stands in the morning you could see the deer tracks inside our boot prints from the night before...I guess deer really will take the easiest travel rout
growalot
When snows get realy deep here late winter I will go out and walk trails all over the property just so they have easier paths to go through to get to the plots ...this year I'll start early and use the Gator to keep paths open....now just because they also go past stand sites and the younins that made it through hunting will now have these trails become a routine...really doesn't come into play...much
stoneam2006
When I trap in deep snow I get someone with a sled to come beat a path down in area I want to trap bc they too will use that path if it's easier for them
NFA-ADK
If the snow is really bad it helps them out that's for sure. Good reason if you want them to survive the harsh winters to get out and blaze some trails. I believe it helps the fawns the most but all benefit.
