Cany you bow hunt in LI during shotgun season.

I have two questions here:

1. Can you hunt during shotgun season with a bow?

2. If you can what about weekends using a bow during the shotgunn season?  I know that there is no shotgun hunting allowed on weekends?

you can but you still have to go though the proset of signing up for the shot gun hunt  you can not just go out to hunt

during the shot gun season "January" you can hunt with a shotgun  bow  muzzle loader on Long Island

I was told, Yes , you can bowhunt during the shotgun season. Personally, I don't know if I'd want to bowhunt where guys are wandering around with slug guns though..  And, It is a weekday only season..

You cannot hunt with a bow on LI during shotgun season. It is considered a special shotgun season. You can only hunt with a shotgun or a muzzleloader.

Make sure to read it carefully as to all conditions and regs for hunting on LI in January.  There are quotas for permits for individual towns and not all areas are legal to hunt within the towns.  Also being that the land you will be hunting is 14 acres if you have permission to hunt it noone else will be able to, from what I read on landowner permission.  One hunter per 10 acres and no more than 5 hunters on 100 acres can have permission/permits to hunt the land.
