G-Man
Is it possible to cut down a .38 special case to make a .38 new police case, I have a couple of old revolvers that need .38 new police rounds and I have had trouble finding them, think they would be fun to shoot rather than just a colectable. Any one every try this?
Pygmy
According to info I have read online, .38 Colt New Police and .38 S&W are interchangeable...I also read that it is not a good idea to cut down .38 Special cases because the diameter is smaller... No personal experience, just what I have read. .38 S&W may be easier to find than .38 NP, because there were a LOT of revolvers chambered for .38 S&W in the early to mid 1900s... Good luck, G-man... Pygmy
Graf & Sons lists 5 different brands of .38 S&W from about $20 /50 to about $40/50... I didn't check Midway, but I'm betting they offer several brands also..
