45/70
Got to the club for a little wile this am. Only Bad thing in the morning is the range faces the East and the sun is in your eyes. Took the two rifles I plan on using this yr in the Southern zone. Just wanted two double check The rifles and ammo for them the 35 rem with leverevolution Ammo. It was a little high and right. Got it over and down two clicks. Then I got my 8mm. Lacoruna one of the most widely Use deer rifles in the northeast. My last two rounds In the 10 had at 80 yds. With a red dot . Never used A red dot for hunting before but I am giveing it a try. And then I tryed my 8+56 out , I have to change the front Sight , I just can't see it , it looks like a pyramid it comes to A sharp point that to me disappears when I am trying to use the 6 o'clock hold. So more work to be done.

Pygmy
With my old eyes, I have problems with many open sights, including nearly all issue military sights, many of which aren't designed for precision shooting in the first place... The exceptions are peep sights, like the battle sights on the M1 Garand, 03A3 Springfield, 1917 Enfield and the SMLE # 4...They still work well for me. 45/70
Yup I hear a mate 'e I think I will run it up to the gunsmith and see what he says. The front site sits in a dove tail but its not a stranded one its small. Will come up with something.
