Buck still in velvet?

Camera says this pic was 12 days ago he seems like he has so much more growing to do. Should he be a lot farther along? He looks like he has a lot of potential but should he be almost done growing?

I have seen bucks like that during season with a wide spread but short tines. I have a buck like that, that always comes to mind that I saw in the southern tier. Eric

Lots of CT bucks are shot each year in September in velvet

My brother shot this a few years back. It's sexual organs were deformed. One in a million. I have some basket racked and younger still in velvet on the cams

They aren't growing , you just have a buck with short tines, latest I've seen velvet on a buck was Oct 14th. Usually they are done by mid august and are mineralizing. Not all deer grow tall tines, still a nice buck!
