Practice Target Butts

Does anyone know of a place in the stamford, oneonta perhaps binghamton area where I can get a big round target butt?

 

I am looking for the type the field archery site had when we were kids.  Big 4'-5' round woven mat target butts that sat up on a heavy easel type deal. 

 

I see the target face covers, paper and some sort of woven plastic, around but not the woven matt butts themselves.

 

I found one or two on line but the shipping is a killer.

 

Anyone in central NY sell field archery supplies??

No, they are so costly from the mfg to any shop they do not carry them.

 

you do better making your own with old feed sack, put in two pieces of cardboard, then fill to the top with used plastic bags from Walmart, close top with plastic tie's. and hang bag from 2 x 4 boards. The arrow will come out with out a problem and will not go thru...

 

the cardboard in the bag is so you can put a plastic paper plate on the feed sack as a item to shoot at, or  I just after have the bag ready , put a circle on the center of the bag with black spray paint.

I make mine like that, but I use feed bags on the inside also. I have a ton of feed bags in Binghamton if you need them.
