Where to buy snow goose decoys and what do you guys use

I have a field this year to decoy them into. Going to pick up some, though don't have cash for a huge spread.  Never decoyed snows before and very rarely decoyed canadas.  Not at all sure what is best and where prices are best. Anyone???

If they want to be in that field you can get away with a few hundred. If your running traffic keep buying until you've lost your wife, children and home. Then they might decoy.

They landed in there last few years. Farmer had winter wheat in there and had to chase them out.  I got official permission this year and now need the decoys.

If I were you I would go buy 10 dozen economy snow goose silosocks and one dozen sentry silosocks. That should cost you about $400. Unless you can find a bunch of Texas rags used, that's about your cheapest option that doesn't involve pillowcases, plastic trash bags and milk jugs.

I hunted Texas a few years back...As I remember we put out about 300 rags...The high flying white sky carp would have nothing to do with our set...We killed a specklebelly ( white front) or two but no snows...

 

I've hated the SOBs ever since....<<grin>>...

 

Canadas, on the other hand, will decoy nicely to a couple dozen dekes IF they are in the right place...

10dz isn't going to cut it. You either need to spend the money and set up "hundreds" of decoys or make a friend with someone who's already done it.
