Hen Wood duck.......

WTH......A hen wood duck just marched a brood of youngsters across the street from me on my neighbors lawn. Blows my mind!!  They headed to the backyard.............

 

There's a black outdoor cat that hangs out in the general area.  If the cat finds them they'll be goners...........there's also no ponds anywhere close to here either.  Going to be a rough night.

Hopefully mama will lead the ducklings to water before something makes a meal out of them. Makes you wonder where she came from and where she's going??? Wood ducks are so cool looking!
