The very concept of personal happiness is contrary to the teachings of Islam. Subservience and personal misery are the cornerstones of the entire ideology.

In an odd sense, the 'paradise' they seek to enter by blowing the hell outta innocent people is readily available in Las Vegas, and death is not a prerequisite. That's what they're angry about: that people can be free and happy without having to die for it.
