Hi all. I'm from Australia and am in buffalo in New York state for a couple of days. Was wondering where the best hunting, shooting and outdoor shops are. Have been to fish and stream and the like. Was thinking there might be some other ones around. Doesn't matter if they are in Rochester or in that area. Thanks.

If you feel like traveling a little bit there is a Cabela's in PA which is only about an hour and a half from NYC. I think that is the best one. There are a few Gander Mountains within an hour or so from the city, but I think Cabela's is worth the extra time in the car.

There is also the Buffalo Gun Center its 5 minutes from Cabela's in Cheektowaga and Gander Mountain is only 10 minutes from there in Tonawanda. There is a large Dick's store inside the Galleria Mall across from Cabela's
