BKhunter
I have a whole shoulder in the freezer, and I was toying around with the idea of smoking the whole thing. Has anyone ever done this before and if so have a recipe available? Is this just a bad idea all around and am I better of just braising the thing? turkeyfeathers
Smoke it Season with garlic powder, onion powder, blk pepper and sea salt. Toothpick bacon strips around it. Smoker at 225 and should take just a few hours. Get internal temp to 135-140 degrees Slice thin and enjoy. And now I may do this tomorrow with a roast. gfdeputy2
Yes we usually serve it at our yearly Christmas party slice thin tastes like roast beef but better I use a mild rub so it doesn't take away from the taste of the meat
