Lawdwaz
Around 11:45am this morning I got a text message from a buddy. He was in the field in Pennsylvania, setting his dekes out for the 12:00pm start of the 1st day of the 2016 Dove Season. His setup was some 150 yards from the wire that ran parallel with the road. Good cover to hide in for him (not really a big deal with dove) and a good open spot to drop the doves and still be able to find them as he didn't have a dog. We talked a couple times during the day as it kills me to NOT be there then he said he was going to take a nap from 4-5:00pm then get back at it until quitting time. The final tally for the day was 7, not too shabby and plenty left for tomorrow.
Cabin Fever
Ever eaten one? I wonder what they taste like? Chicken??To me, they're just another songbird. Kinda like eating a robin.... No desire.Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
Lawdwaz
I've eaten hundreds...........nothing better IMO. Number one game bird in North America for good reason!
