growalot
The grubs are ripe!...You know what that means? It means you'd best be watching carefully ,as best you can, for low ground moving white on the way to your stands. The skunk are out grubbing in force! last night they tore up at least one acre that I have seen around the plots and garden. So many bushes to hide under...more than once I have had to call Mr B and tell him dinner will be late. No , no deer....skunk under my stand.... Just something we tend to forget about.... Cabin Fever
A large part of my yard is destroyed, due to skunks grubbing. Looks like a rototiller went through it! Not happy...

Dreading catching a stinker It would be a good idea to cover the cage traps with a small tarp or blanket ahead of time, just incase! Easier to do it now, then trying to sneak up to an uncovered trap to do it later. They're not that difficult to deal with and aren't as trigger happy as you might think. I've caught 500+ over the years in cage traps and have never been sprayed.

Well needless to say 1 pair of eyes ended up being a skunk at 530 in the am...soon as I jumped off quad and skinned light on it. Wham didn't go to school for a few days and all my dad's Buddy's we hunted with called me stinky for a few years bc I swear it never came out of those coveralls Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
