Species identification

[LET EM GROW]

This is for a friend..

He is wondering what this plant is.. the pics arent the greatest and i personally haven't seen this field.. Thought id ask the knowledgeable crowd here. He said this was planted in mid summer by the farmer. the field was corn last year, this germinated and began growing like an oat and now looks like this.. the deer are hammering it and we cant figure out what it is. again sorry for the tough to tell pictures, its what he sent to me.. Any help would be great.

Because you've seen it I put up this link...it sorta looks like Kochia to me but can't tell...this site does give some good pics of weeds I have several I'm dealing with ..plantain a main one in the clovers and lambs quarters everywhere...it literally comes out of the ground with seed heads on it..WTH...lol Scroll down in that second link to see the fall picture of the plant...
