SteveB
How many of the type of guns made illegal by the ban where ever used or are used in the comission of crimes? I bet those implimenting and supporting the bans have no idea or they would be using the figures to garner support. These type of laws make more crimes and criminals (of non criminals) then they ever prevent.
2BRKnot2B
Actual figures for use of so-called (by leftists in Brady campaign, AGV, DemoncRATicks--evil, blood sucking vermin, etc.) AW Ban criminal use prior to the federal law was less than a few tenths of 1%. What drove the law was shows like "Miami Vice," and movies like Mel Gibson's cop series, "Lethal Weapon."
Mr VJP
Between what is happening on the Federal level with guns in Mexico, Bloomberg's gun show antics and on the local level in cases like this, it is pretty obvious this is part of an anti-gun orchestrated scenario designed to scare the public to win their support for more oppressive gun control legislation. That fact that it takes place shortly after the disaster in Tuscon makes it even more obvious to me. All of these FFL's have pleaded not guilty and were released without bail. They have also not had their FFL's revoked and they are currently open for business as well. If they were really guilty of any real crime, do you think that would be the case? This is a tragedy caused by the abuse of power vested in Kathleen Rice. I hope she is prosecuted and jailed for this and sued for restitution by these men.
