New to NY looking for good public land around Onieda County

So, I will be heading to New Hartford in the next few months. I am an avid bow hunter and looking for a new place to get after some deer and turkey. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As a fellow oneida County relative. I'm sad to say that what state land we have is pretty pressured. I'd recommend hitting up the farms just south of new Hartford asking permission

I'm in Oneida County as well. As far as state land goes, search around the NYS DEC website . It has some maps and info on state land throughout the state. I used to hunt Charles Baker State Forest in Brookfield .  Pretty country, but does get pressured. Goodluck
