If I were to guess, I doubt a 2.5 yr old buck would be have an eyeguard like that unless he had some serious potential. About impossible to really tell though judging on rack alone, if I were to wing a guess I'd say at least 2.5, after that it's all a guess. Bowshotmuzzleloader Posted December 19, 2016 Author Share Posted December 19, 2016 (edited) Well Chris this is the reason for this post as I've shot alot of deer and I've wondered if they have actually been 2 1/2 year old deer but just late born yearlings as it take a whole other year for them to be equal to their brothers,,, I know rack size and conditions matter from area to area but this seems to be not the usual 1 1/12 fro this property..
