It's extremely unfortunate that people generally don't understand the Constitution. The U.S. Constitution does not grant people rights. Rather, it prevents the government from removing rights that were deemed "unalienable". IOW God-given. The Supreme Court has been used for several decades now to put in place and codify "rights" that are in no way 'unalienable'. The Left sees that power of judicial activism slipping away, hence the outrage over a SCOTUS nominee who understands the intent of the Constitution.
