guess what I haven't seen....

Tent caterpillars...I haven't seen any since that early warm spell when they hatched ,then we got that cold weather and snow storm...here's crossing ones fingers...because this weather has hurt the black flies one little bit! every body turkey hunting get those thermacells ready!!

Ha...now that I think on this...maybe not so good....I have been seeing fewer turkeys this year...hhhhmmmmm crap!...lol

I always think of tent caterpillars as late summer. Black flies and skeeters never get bad where we hunt. I just jinxed that for sure. At 31 degrees yesterday I didn't expect to see any

we always get every thing early and the little green worms that fly around on silk...I leave the house and go shopping to have complete strangers picking worms off me...not sure if those are the gypsy moth ones...some years way worse than others...I welcome summer,save the horse and deer flies  and absolutely love fall. Ha...grass hoppers...about now I'm starting to see teeny tiny grass hoppers another turkey favorite and the ground usually moves in front of you by mid may when they have gotten a bit bigger...find a grass hopper hatch and you are with out a doubt in turkey heaven...
