Nothing with horns except for an owl

I wonder what kind of owl that is. It looks kind of small. Nice of him to stop in for a pose for your camera.

What I can't figure is ..... when I posted the pictures , I had the two with the owl in sequence but one shows in the beginning and the other in the end  .  Not a big deal but confusing .
