Finding success on public property

So I got a chance at a public land buck this week and put him down, was really happy to see everything come together this year, he wasn't a trophy by any means (young buck) but I'm looking forward to having some quality meat in my freezer....

Reflecting back on this years bow hunting experience, my take aways are that putting in the hard work & working intelligently often put you in a better position on public property to find success...

I hunt mostly private property upstate so bowhunting on public land has taught me a great deal about hunting in general, anybody feel similar about hunting on public property?

90% of my harvests come from public lands...

You learn to pattern the hunters more than the deer...also learn to hunt escapes and exits.

Honestly where I live there is not much pressure in bow season...but its not a bad idea to have private access come Gun opener.
