Help identifying a duck

I shot a small black duck about the same size as a teal, it has a white stomach, and a white strip going over the eyes with a light blue bill and feet. Any suggestions with what it could be?

Never shot one when hunting but I have seen Buffleheads from time to time on rivers when fishing, they are small and are mostly B&W.

Sounds like a bufflehead to me...

That is exactly it thank you very much, I’ve only ever shot males until this morning.
