Best ny whitetails by zone

So I was browsing the 2016 harvest report.

 

And it seems to me that largest deer take is in the west fingerlakes region.

 

Highest take per sq mile. And highest percentage of deer over 2.5 years old.

 

I didn't get too deep into the specific wmus

 

Am I reading this right?

The DEC. Makes a specific report each year on this... if you do a search on their sight you may be able to.found all the info and compare years.

It seems to me that wny/finger lakes, southern tier and LI have numbers and brutes. I am sure there are other good areas but those are the 3 I would want to hunt regularly.

I would pick Staten Island to hunt. Monsters there and nobody has legally hunted there in idk how many years.
