4H Season

We'll the deer season is just about over. From what I saw the deer population is healthy and the numbers I have seen in the fields and along the roads has been pretty good. One thing observed is more bucks in the Rensselaerville area, the farmer's wife even saw a four pointer the other day eating her plants in the garden right out her back door. Many spike horns and fours around.

 

The big ones I believe go totally nocturnal during the gun season in 4H and your only chance is if they get pushed into you.

4H was good for me this year .... I arrowed with a compound (my first) a  Doe and 2 weeks later I arrowed with a crossbow (my first) a six pointer and on opening day of gun season I shot an 8 pointer and a week later my son shot a Buck and a Doe . Freezer is FULL !
