A spot where I hunt has a tree stand that freaks me out.  It's on the far corner of the property on the other side of property but line by one tree.  I was told someone fell out of it and died years ago.  I stay right away from it.  But it is a hanger with the old screw in steps to get up to it. And wow are they far apart.  Don't even like going near it.
