Awesome DIY archery target

I’ve made a few of these and they are better than any bag target I’ve ever owned. The one pictured is stuffed from the guts of two “shot out” bag targets

You can deviate from the material list obviously, I make them with whatever dimension stuff I have kicking around as long as it’s 8” at least

And no, the chicken wire doesn’t hurt your arrows. I’ve shot this thing thousands of times from 2 to 9 yards in my basement

 

The downside is they can be very heavy and if outside you want to keep it dry

yea that's pretty much the same as a lot of rod and gun clubs do. use whatever "fly" or material you want. club next door uses sandwiched foam for outdoors and has their own bander to tighten it down. indoor target i'd say take more abuse though.

I hear that trampoline material works real well, so if you see one at the curb somewhere grab it

one sitting in my brother's yard right now. old but still functional though. its also belongs to my possible future sister in law so i'll leave it be for now. lol

Send them links of all the dangers of trampolines and how much theyll save on homeowners insurance if they get rid of it lol
