Middletown home depot Apple trees

They have apple trees as large as 12 feet for $15. Liberty Apple is the specific Apple which is cold hardy to zone4. Only about ten in good shape that are left over. Can't figure out how to rotate the picture sorry.

Same at the Williamsville store. I bought 6. Don't know the root stock but for $15 each you can't go wrong. They also had Pink Lady and Wolf River.

Tried apples a few times without fencing them.  Never took hold, deer ate every bud off them in the winter.

Yea they gotta be fenced. I use remesh and also wrap the trunk with aluminum window screen to keep the mice and rabbits at bay.
