Surf fishing

I know there are a few guys here that fish Long island.

 

Was just wondering what the action is like about now.

 

I'm going to be in the area over the weekend.

From Montauk... Striped bass was in typical August doldrums. Slow pick from the July full moon, anything caught was good sized though. Picked up with this past weekend's full moon. Lots of bait in the water.

May hit again this weekend if I can get out. Will post if I do.

Southampton was loaded with bait fish the other day so any area from that location to the point should be good, keep an eye out for the birds and bait fish.
