Rochester International Airshow

We have the airshow going in Rochester this weekend, which is one of my favorite things to go see. Im a pretty big aircraft buff, and have been since I was little. My uncle was a mechanic in the Air Force, and was lead mechanic for the first wing of F15s put into service, so I used to hear about it when I was a kid, probably what got me interested. It just so happens that my fiance's uncle used to fly in the Thunderbirds, and is now in a pretty high position at the Niagara Falls AFB. Whenever hes around we shoot the breeze about aircraft, which is always great. Every year I go to at least one airshow, and when it comes to Rochester it makes it easy on me lol. This year the airshow is hosting the Blue Angels, and I had a little time yesterday to go out and watch them practice. Heres a couple of quick videos I got with my cell phone, Ill have some better ones over the weekend.

Had a great time at the airshow today! It was HOT though, and Ill be suffering with a pretty bad sunburn for the next few days, but it was worth it to see the show and see the kids have a good time. I figured out how to get full HD resolution with my cell phone, not bad quality.

What the heck kind of cell phone do you have?  Those videos are terrific!

Thanks! Its a Samsung Fascinate. There are quite a few of the higher end phones out there that shoot in HD now. The bummer with them is there is no kind of zoom. If they can figure out how to put a real zoom lens on cell phones, the point and shoot camera and compact video camera markets are going to completely change.

BTW, you can watch the videos in HD if you up the resolution in the bottom bar for the video. When you click the play button, you will see where it says '360p' with an up arrow, just click on that and set it to '720p'.
