16. ga hunter
Libbie had her first chance to hunt behind Nash today weather was rainy this am and a 14 year old girl can’t have her hair messed up so we headed out around noon. Hunted for 2 hours and the dog flushed 9 birds. Shells were fired and lead flew but no roosters dropped. She was super excited about how well the dog was at doing his part but was concerned about how far out he was going on a running bird. She also noted how she is starting to read the dogs better and how their quartering/pace changes when they get on a bird. He also flushed out a cotton tail but she noticed to late to get a shot. First-light
Heard three shots early this morning. Hope the youth were rewarded!
