Westside Shooting Range - NYC?????

I have a questions for all you who live or work in Manhattan. (I apologize now, if this has already been discussed). A co-worker said he was offered a free pass to the shooting range and I looked at him like he had 3 heads as I didn't know one existed in NYC. Has anyone been here? How was the experience and what is it like? Pistol, rifle, what do you need to have in order to shoot (NYC goes by there own rules)?  As I started thinking about it, I told my co-worker that I think we should go the range during lunch and let some lead fly.....it would be very theriputical!!

I've looked into it before.  It's only a pistol range and .22 rimfire rifles.  It's expensive as far as range prices go.

I have been there and talked to some people there,All very nice and helpful people.I never joined because I live in Westchester and go to ranges here.Besides You can bring a handgun into the city.But all and all it is a nice range.

Thanks guys....I was blocked out of the website at work but was able to find some comments. I had thought it was only pistol's and .22's but wasn't sure so thanks for confirming.....still might be a good way to spend a lunch hour.
