SteveMcD
Any decent Snowshoe Hare spots around other than the North County - Region 4 area?
NYBowhunter
I hunt in 4F and we have shot a couple hare through the years, but they are not that plentiful. In region 4 you will have much better luck with cottontails.

sweet old bill
I lived in the town of North Pharsalia and there is about 29,000 A's of state hunting land in the area. WHen I had my dog's I sure could still find some white rabbits in the area were they had logged and had new red pine coming up that was in the 4 to 5 ft range. The location that I hunted was off of route 23 in the town of north pharsalia and the road was ( I am not kidding ) One eye road. I would hunt past one had been the old CCC camp, lots of pine, would always get several runs each day. good luck, not bad bow hunting in the area, also lots of old apple trees in the hard wood and they also have one piece that was replanted for grouse hunting birds.
