I'm looking to treat my new Danner boots, but I don't want to make them unbreathable with a thick coating. any good products out there that will waterproof and not suffocate my feet?

I use snow proof on my leather boots and they seem to keep my feet dry..there may me many other products on the market the other one I use all the time is mink oil works the same as the snow proof but also seems to make the leather softer.
