I know most every one is useing carbon arrows Iguess im cheap because i still use alum and have had great results anyone else shoot alum and what kind also they have a return value

I formerly used Easton Auminums but switched to Carbon express for this coming season. I've also switched from vanes to FOBs and from a whisker biscuit to the NAP Apache drop away rest. I have better speed and accuracy with the carbons. As far as being cheap is concerned, carbons are not that expensive. I bought a 1/2 dozen of Carbon Express Heart Attack at Dicks for under $30. I can't wait to try them in the field.

I have yet to see where anyone could claim with any credibility that carbons kill deer any deader than aluminum arrows. In fact, even wood does as good a job at killing deer as either of the other two materials. I have a lifetime supply of aluminum shafting, nocks, inserts, etc. and really have never seen any reason to throw them all away and buy something new. Probably has something to do with the fact that I don't have a never-ending supply of money ...... lol. There was a time when apparently I thought I did, but I finally got over that ....

There is a whole lot of "fluff" that goes along with hunting , and all the sales / marketing of all the products out there. When thinking of the differance between alum vs carbon arrows , think about the basics.

Will an alum shaft with a razor sharp broadhead at 30yrds penetrate a piece of flesh and meat ? Of course it will,,, my advice is go with what you are comfortable with.and try to to get all caught up in the hunting "fashion hype ".
