Went for a walk yesterday and found a tree blown down, but what was interesting to me was how the trunk blew apart. Wind and water has always amazed me with how powerful it can be. Lots of snow still in my part of 9H.

I have seen similar damage/ affect to the poplars and birches on my property. It appears to me that the trunks are literally twisted by the wind in their canopies?
