NJ cops don't understand the states gun laws at all.  They're attitude is, "Arrest and charge and let the poor sucker's lawyer figure it out."

Too bad when the guy sues, that taxpayers have to pony up the penalty for the state.

When I go up to my house I could knock off sometime cutting thru NJ.One of my cousins lives there and told me to go around rather then cut thru.he said the gun laws are ridiculous plus my pistol permit is void in NJ.My cousin has been living there for 8 years and gave up applying for a pistol permit.

They issue permits to buy a handgun, but rarely ever one to carry.  Their laws on transporting require a locked case, or in the trunk with ammo in a separate place.  Best to avoid the state if you can.
