Nope! I'm not falling for it this morning. Wind is already howling. It was raining when I poked my nose out early this morning. I've been suckered into it every drippy windy day since the season started. I've been soaked up a few times already, and I have only seen a couple deer and they had their hooves dug into the ground trying to keep the wind from blowing them away. I guess I am about ready for a break. Think I'll go bowling ...... lol.

Neither was I...for I listened to too many things falling in the woods yesterday...having a "chicken little" moment.....lol...seriously look up and listen guys ...I missed being crushed by a tree by mere inches last year...it actually brushed down my left arm as I was pressing my self against the trunk of another tree....heard the crack and never bothered looking just got to nearest tree....had I looked...it would have been too late....But just posted to say 25yrds off my porch are 7 deer ...for big doe and 3 fawn...looks like they've tired of being in the woods in this wind as well....too bad the wind is blowing straight from us to them....I'd be able to tag out in my PJ's .... :P

I actually did that during gun season...but the shot was 100yrds and I had to run out behind the dog kennel to take the shot...lol

Of course deer move when its windy. They live in the woods. they have to go somewhere! lol. I wasn't implying that the deer build shelters and buck up for the night. HOWEVER, deer do not like wind. It makes them spooky. they either can't smell very well if it blowing too hard or they can smelll you even better if it swirling around. It is the toughest of the weather conditioins to hunt and be succesful. If I had to pick a day to sleep in, it would be a windy one. I am one of the idiots in his stand on the windy day becuase I want never want to miss an opportunity though. All im saying on that.
